What We Collect and Why


At Toraasoft Consulting, we belive in transparency and customer privicy. Any data that we collect from you or your device is done to enable us and our products to serve you better and in accordance will Apple’s policy. To that end, we list here the data items we collect, by product, and the reasons for each.

For TwiPhone Pilot (iOS app in Apple’s App Store): Link to heading

  • Twilio Account Identifier - so that you can see which devices are using your Twilio account and so that we can communicate with devices on the account as a group
  • Device Name (The name you gave your device) - so that you can distinguish different devices using your Twilio account yourself and in communication with our support people
  • Device Model (iPhone, iPad, etc) - so you can see the different devices on your Twilio account and so we know what devices our customers prefer and know how to invest development where it does the most good
  • Locale (Language preference) - so that we have a clear picture of our customer base, and so that we can tailor any messages to you according to your preferences
  • Time Zone - so that we understand our customers’ usage patterns better, and so we can send messages to you at appropriate times
  • System Name and Version (example: iOS 18.3) - so that we know what our existing customers use in order to help us decide when to adopt certain features that require newer versions of the OS or drop support for an older version
  • Current app version (example: TwiPhone Pilot version 1.2.5) - so that we know which version(s) our active customers are using as an aid in planning future updates
  • Marketing Preferences - so we know and can communicate with you according to your wishes
  • Twilio Account SID and Auth Token - we currently do not store these anywhere except in the mobile app but we do send them to our API to verify your access to the account before linking the device to your Twilio account

We may send notification messages from time to time that are of an informational or helpful nature. But we will not send messages that attempt to sell you upgrades, new products, or new services unless you opt in for marketing. The Marketing Preferences for your device can be found and edited in the TwiPhone Pilot app under Settings->Notifications, Alerts, and Marketing. You may also change your Marketing Preferences by emailing our support email (support@toraasoft.com) and using your device identifier (see below).

Also, we make no attempt to “fingerprint” or uniquely identify your device in any way that can be used to correlate or “track” your device with other services. We do create our own unique device identifier that is stored on your device and used to keep the above information up-to-date and help you and us in troubleshooting. Your unique device identifier can be found in the TwiPhone Pilot app under Settings->Devices when you tap on “this device”. And you can copy the device identifier simply by tapping it!
